WhyNutritionalTherapy?

Nutritional Therapy deals with the whole person rather than a set of symptoms. I am an advocate of the Functional Medicine approach to nutritional therapy.  Functional Medicine looks at a patient’s history and looks at the interactions between genetic, environmental and lifestyle factors that can influence long-term health and complex chronic disease.  Even making simple changes can have a marked effect on your health and wellbeing.

We will work together to find the root of your health issue and to address it.  You will understand the link between food and your mood and energy levels as well as any food intolerance related conditions you may have.  Understanding your individual metabolism will put you back in control of your health and allow you to make the changes in your diet and lifestyle that will have you looking and feeling great!!!

I am passionate about Children’s Nutrition and the difference that proper nutrition can make to a child’s immune system, general behaviour, mood and academic performance. With more and more children suffering from obesity, asthma  and being diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, it is vitally important to know how to feed your children healthily.

Children’s Nutrition can seem like a tricky area and it can be hard to foster good habits but it is worth the effort. Children are still developing in every sense all their organs and bones and bodily systems so good nutrition now sets the foundations for health in the longer term. However, and maybe more importantly, teaching children good habits in their childhood allows them to develop a healthy relationship with food for the rest of their lives, which is one of the greatest gifts we can give them. Children’s Nutrition does not have to be complicated. By sticking to a few simple rules you can achieve optimum health for your child.
